The mission of 4 Paws for Ability at XU is to train and socialize service dogs, plan and engage in opportunities to raise funds, educate the public about service animals and the services they provide, assist with animal rescue facilities when possible and allow students to gain lifelong friends who share the same passion for helping others. Through events, we hope to spark your animal-loving side and encourage the student community to foster a service dog.

Bird Watching Club is for any Xavier student wanting to observe, explore, and find the birds surrounding the greater Cincinnati area. Bird Watching Club's purpose is to educate students about the birds of the greater Cincinnati area. Participants will become accustom to the sights and sounds of the birds, all while experiencing various terrestrial biomes around Xavier. Towards the end of the academic year, participants will be encouraged to attend the annual birdathon, an event in which competitors seek to identify as many birds as possible in the Cincinnati area in a period of 24 hours.

Film and Television Club is one of the most valued media outlets at Xavier University, and it is run solely by students. XUTVC engages in film events and competitions and supports a weekly news broadcast, which includes a sports segment, entirely produced by students. The broadcast takes place in conjunction with the Digital Innovation, Film and Television program, in the Film and Television Studio. OIP-u is Ohio's collegiate network of innocence advocates. Our mission is to gain awareness for wrongful convictions all over the country but specifically in Ohio. The Ohio Innocence Project is a non-profit organization and our goal is to support cause by educating the campus community, raising awareness, and working together with OIP in its efforts.
The issue of wrongful convictions is a multidisciplinary one, including criminal justice, psychology, sociology, political science, biology, chemistry, economics, statistics, and many others. We invite students of various academic interests to bring their unique interests and perspectives to the chapter and the discussion on wrongful conviction and ways to address the issue.
The chapter will work to prevent wrongful conviction by promoting awareness of its existence on college campuses and to generate student and community support for the Ohio Innocence Project, and its efforts to remedy for wrongful convictions.
The chapter will host events designed to educate college students and the general public about the following topics: wrongful conviction; the causes of wrongful conviction; the plight of the wrongfully convicted; the efforts of the Ohio Innocence Project to prevent and remedy wrongful convictions in Ohio; and information related to wrongful conviction.
