In order to effectively address gender-based violence in our community, we must be brave. We must listen to the voices of survivors. We must stand in solidarity and advocate for a safe and just community for individuals of all identities. It is our vision that together, with our collective strength and courage, we can be brave and end violence in our community.

Peer education are at the heart of BRAVE. Each fall, a cohort of students undergo an intensive training process which prepares them to present a series of workshops.

As members of our EngageXU page, you will be the first to receive announcements and updates about the status of power-based violence at Xavier. You will also have access to information about our workshops and how to request a workshop for yourself or a group.

The Confidential Peer Support Volunteers provide trauma-informed support services for student survivors of power-based violence, including sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and sexual harassment. We believe, respect, and support all survivors, whether they are seeking safety, healing, or justice and we recognize the uniqueness and wholeness of each person. We understand how all forms of social justice intersect and that power-based violence is another form of oppression. And as a program, we endeavor to cultivate empathy, foster a culture of caring for one another, and strengthen community accountability.

The mission of Student Veterans of Xavier is to assist fellow veterans and dependents during transition, support them in their academics, and provide a veterans' organization continuing the tradition of service to each other and community.

Xavier Student Wellness Advocacy Group (SWAG) is the Xavier University Chapter of The BACCHUS Network, a national organization that focuses on college health and safety issues. SWAG develops and facilitates prevention education programming on the critical wellness issues of healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, sleep, and alcohol and/or drug use using a bystander intervention model. SWAG creates dialogue among peers that will positively impact attitudes and behavior and engages students in meaningful opportunities to create a healthy campus community that supports student success.

Xavier Cheerleading & Mascots are an important part of Xavier Athletics. Xavier Cheerleading & Mascots have become a vocal presence at all Xavier men's and women's basketball games as well as in the community. Each year, the cheerleading squad participates in annual fundraising efforts including appearances and much more. Xavier Cheerleading & Mascots are made up of both male and female members, and they attend all men's and women's home basketball games, Big East, and NCAA tournaments.
